I have an issue on a dell latitude 5290 after installation of ubuntu 22.04 : the power adapter is not recognized any more. It was recognized under windows.I made some tests
- bios tells "AC adapter not installed" though the adapter is plugged, the same as it was when it was running under windows
- removing the battery and pressing power button I see the led lighting once for a second or so and nothing
- I tried to reinstall the bios but was not allowed. The bios claims for the adapter to be plugged, though it is plugged.
- I turned bios back to factory settings and rebooted
- I plugged button battery out to reset bios
- the battery discharges any time I turn the laptop on to do or try anything on it to solve the problem. 40% remaining for now. Soon no juice.
any tips?
