Does anyone have any suggestion on how to use camera from my laptop (Windows 10), on the remote Ubuntu 22.04?
Ubuntu is installed on the ProxMox as a VM, I installed v4l-utils, and I get this output:
> v4l2-ctl --list-devices -D Dummy video device (0x0000)> (platform:v4l2loopback-000):> /dev/video0> > Driver Info:> Driver name : v4l2 loopback> Card type : Dummy video device (0x0000)> Bus info : platform:v4l2loopback-000> Driver version : 6.5.3> Capabilities : 0x85200003> Video Capture> Video Output> Read/Write> Streaming> Extended Pix Format> Device Capabilities> Device Caps : 0x05200003> Video Capture> Video Output> Read/Write> Streaming> Extended Pix Format
I also installed xrdp, and I can connect from my Windows 10 laptop without any problems (on RDP settings on my Windows I enabled to use my local camera), but Ubuntu does not show anything?
The camera is working fine, I connected via RDP to another Windows 10, and once connected I can use my camera just fine.
I found online that something can be done with camera passthrough (adding virtual USB to Ubuntu VM), but I am not able to find any specific guidance on how to do that.
If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to write!
Thank you in advance!
