Ubuntu 22.04 screen sharing through dock station

I have a Del XPS 15 with ubuntu 22.04. I also have a Dell docking station WD22 connected to two external monitors, that worked like a charm since day 1.

But for the first time ever, in a call using zoom I had issues with screen sharing. No screens were appearing in the options panel, so I could no share any screen at all.

Googling around I found this solution, which should have solved my problems. Unfortunately, as stated by rogelio in the comments, "people using DisplayLink could have problems because of x11 compatibility (using 2 displays through a docking station, for example)".

I have identified a work around for this problem:

  1. I restart the machine unplugging the dock
  2. Start zoom, and try to share my screen. My laptop screen appears there.
  3. Connect the dock. The 3 screens appear properly in zoom.

But every time I restart with the dock connected, the same problem appears...

Can you think of a solution to the problem? I'm unfortunately not a big expert on the topic...

Thanks!
