Is there a way to make an RDP Server on Kubuntu 22.04 do things more like on windows?
When I installed it, there were a few problems.
- it made a new session, possibly leading to file conflicts
- Keys combinations used on the desktop session were misdirected until I logged off
So ideally I would like 4 things:
- If I connect to the RDP server and I do not have a session active, make a new one
- If a session (desktop or RDP) exists, disconnect that session (desktop goes to lockscreen, other RDP just disconnects), and connect into this existing session.
- If I disconnect without logging off, keep the session active
- when logging in from the PC itself and an RDP session exists, disconnect the RDP and connect the Deskop into that session.
Basically the way how it works on windows. NLA would be a nice bonus, but that's its own agenda.
Is this possible, and if yes, how?
Other questions I saw mostly were concerned about connecting into an existing RDP session or similar, so they do not exactly apply.
