How can I raise and close window apps to dock (like Windows taskbar behavior) [duplicate]

After I open an app to the desktop, do some work in the app. I then click the minimize button to send the app to the dock panel. To bring the app window back, I would like to click on the app icon from the dock. However, when I do, nothing happens. Is there an extension and or tweak that would enable this?

I have installed GNOME Tweaks and GNOME Extension tools, but neither contains the feature I'm looking for. However, did I overlook it?

EDIT:
I did overlook it. Kind of. There's an extension called "App Icons Taskbar". Does everything and more that I was looking for. Of note, it also enabled the ability to make the top panel vertical width larger.
