22.04 - Wifi works intermittently with new router

I have changed my home router (a new Fritz Box). To do the transition painless, I took the settings of the old router, exported them, and restored them in the new router.

The process worked great, and all the devices in my home keep working without any need of updating the settings... except for my PC running Ubuntu 22.04.

Initially, it could not even detect the SSID of the WLAN at all. I played with the settings of the router, trying different channels. My card has no support for DFS, so I tried lower channels like 36 and 40. At that point, my PC was able to detect the signal and connect, but every 10 minutes or so, the internet connection would die. I would try pinging google.com, and get nothing.

What could the reason be for this unexpected complication?

Also, if needing a new Wifi card, what would be a good recommendation with support for Wifi 6 with good drivers in Ubuntu systems?
