I was hit by dot virus,what do I do? [closed]

I have been hit with the dot virus/malware.I have replaced the OS, now Ubuntu 20.04.Thru Gimp i have hundreds of Gimp & tiff image files(on thumb drives).Can`t access them.I scanned with Clam TK app(with dot} 1 of these drives and it declared there was no problems.Scanned all the directories and some text files---> NOTHING.
