Dual boot fail after cloning

I have a 256 GB SSD on which windows is installed.History:

1. Initially, windows was on drive 512 GB
2. Moved windows onto 256 GB and installed ubuntu on the 512 GB drive.
3. I want to clone from the 256 GB to another 256 GB (disk swap).

I used macrorit partition expert with Hiren's boot CD to clone the 256 GB onto a new 256 GB drive. When I select the windows drive in the dual boot menu, I get a BSOD saying that the:

A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed.

Error code: 0xc00000e

I guess the UUID or some info of the new drive doesn't match the other, and it cannot find the proper partition? Note: this is a DELL laptop from work. I'm not sure what would be the impact of moving WINRETOOLS and DELLSUPPORT partitions?
