I will try to be as concise as possible: I've been experiencing for the past year or so a series of "random" crashes on my Desktop running Ubuntu 22:04. The screen glitches and freezes and if audio is playing it starts looping like a broken record. I can interrupt a strike of crashes with a very bizarre method: opening the machine, removing the battery from the BIOS and then plugging it back. Then the PC works fine for a while, if a power outage doesn't happen (pretty frequent in Summer 2024 with A/C machines and electric cars straining the power grid at the same time) and if it happens the streak of random crashes restarts again. Well, not that random, I've noticed that it always starts with the computer being under some demanding task, like running Blender and Youtube (on Firefox) at the same time. But after that, it gets random, and it might crash while not having any program running.I've tried a couple of things with my limited Linux knowledge: reinstalling the OS, and swapping the hard drive. They both had a short-lived effect. These, BTW, are my hardware details obtained with the command hwinfo --short. Feel free to tell me if there's some physical component in particular I should change.
