I'm trying to have the touchscreen device on the toughbook be handled by evdev instead of libinput, which seems to be taking priority over devices. I am using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Are input devices being configured differently after the default support of Wayland was introduced to Ubuntu as of Ubuntu 21.04.
