I'm trying to get a CX23880 card to work in Ubuntu, but it only outputs colour on composite. S-video is black and white.
I get this message saying the card isn't recognised by the driver at startup:

Very rarely will the card give me colour on S-video, but I haven't found any rhyme or reason to it. I've tried multiple cables and they all give the same result.
What do I do?
