Ubuntu 22 computer keeps freezing during suspension and on shutdown

This is a problem that seems to be getting worse, and I haven't received a single error message about it. It started with my computer refusing to come back on while suspended. I ended up having to disable it to put this to an end. It was happening just about every time, forcing me to unplug my computer multiple times a day which is obviously not good. Eventually, it also started freezing during shutdown. It shows 'shutting down' or something like that, then instead of shutting down often times it just freezes and never moves on. It does show some new cleanup things when I next boot it, but that's it.

What on earth could be causing this? How could I even find any info on what's wrong? Like I said, I'm not getting any error messages. I'm getting really sick of having to unplug my computer to turn it off roughly a quarter of the time. I'm also sick of having to leave it on perpetually and not being able to suspend it anymore.
